As a highly sensitive person (HSP), my home has always been more than just a place to eat and sleep. It’s my sanctuary, my retreat, my haven from the busy and often overwhelming energy of the outside world. Over the years, I’ve discovered that creating a harmonized environment is essential to maintaining my mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Whether I’m at home or staying in a hotel or Airbnb, I’ve learned how to bless, clear, and infuse every space with positive energy. Today, I want to share my top tips for creating a harmonious space that feels as good as it looks.

My Foundational Tips for a Harmonized Home

These tips are straightforward and rooted in common sense, but they make a huge difference in creating a calm and welcoming space.

1. Clean, Vacuum, Dust -A clean space is an energetically clear space. Dust, clutter, and dirt hold stagnant energy, which can affect how we feel. Start by giving your home a thorough cleaning. Vacuuming and dusting not only improve air quality but also uplift the energy of the space. When your surroundings feel clean, your mind feels clearer too.

2. Remove Harmful Substances - Say goodbye to toxic household cleaners. Many conventional cleaning products are loaded with harsh chemicals that can negatively impact your health and the energy of your space. Opt for natural, plant-based alternatives that clean effectively without introducing harmful substances into your home.

3. Choose Nontoxic, All-Natural Options - Whenever possible, invest in organic, eco-friendly products. We’ve made it a point to use organic linens, an organic mattress, and non-petroleum-based products.  Surrounding yourself with materials that are safe and natural creates a healthier and more harmonious environment.
